Your Role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic Industrial team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by leading our transition to sustainable packaging.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industrial operations and the collaborative needs of a multinational company.

 

What you will do

  • Identify and propose new opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Define, plan, and execute development projects focused on cost savings, supply security, innovation, and machine investment in collaboration with the Marketing, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
  • Drive innovation and work towards sustainability goals.
  • Support and manage local packaging technicians.
  • Supervise the creation and implementation of new packaging formats.
  • Conduct lab tests and develop packaging prototypes.
  • Create and update detailed packaging specifications.
  • Collaborate on the approval of artwork designs.
  • Ensure compliance with packaging vendor assurance procedures.
  • Address supplier complaints and follow up on action plans.
  • Evaluate and audit suppliers, implementing improvement plans where necessary.
  • Coordinate with various plants in different countries to apply best practices and align processes.
  • Update suppliers’ certificates to meet pet food regulation requirements.

What we are looking for

 
  • University degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in packaging.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficiency in French and Italian is a plus.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Initiative and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent relational and communication skills.
  • Capacity for continuous learning.
